Department of Mechanical Engineering (General) offers 3 years diploma in Mechanical Engineering Course. The Department was started in the Academic Year 1988-89 with an intake of 40 students.

The main aim of the Department is to produce Diploma holders with strong fundamental base in ever growing and ever green Mechanical Engineering domain. The students are taught the most needed soft skills along with technical subject for their all around development and also to tailor them to suite the present industrial requirement. The above goals are being brought to reality by highly qualified, committed and dynamic staff members. The practical knowledge to support & augment the theoretical knowledge is achieved by the well equipped laboratories.

The Mechanical Engineering branch is affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

             The vision of the Mechanical Engineering Department is to mould the rural youths to become centre of excellence in Mechanical Engineering producing creative and innovative ideas to meet the global Challenges.

MISSION

• To provide plat form to the students to attain quality education in Mechanical Engineering.
•  To educate students about professional and ethical responsibilities and train them to build leadership and entrepreneurship qualities for their carrier developments.
•  To create opportunities and guide students in acquiring carrier oriented jobs in the field of mechanical Engineering.
